Cosmetic surgery can make you appear younger
Research has shown that cosmetic surgery could make you look over seven years younger.The study by the University of Toronto saw 40 medical students analyse before and after pictures of 60 facial cosmetic surgery patients and guess their ages.
The students estimated the age of the ‘after’ photos as 7.2 years younger than the before pictures, and 9.1 years younger than the patients' actual ages.
"The goal of aesthetic facial surgery is to improve one's appearance and to 'turn back the clock,'" wrote the researchers. "Our data demonstrates a significant and consistent reduction in perceived age after aesthetic facial surgery."
