Wrinkle Treatment Procedure
The treatment begins with the application of a thin layer of cool gel over the treatment area. The laser is placed against the skin, and when it the treatment begins you will feel a warm pulsing effect on your skin. There may be some slight discomfort during the procedure; however a local anaesthetic can be applied to the area being treated in order to make you feel more comfortable.
Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation typically uses two laser wavelengths in each wrinkle treatment session. Sessions takes approximately 30 minutes depending on how big the treatment area is. The number of treatments required will depend on your skin type and condition. This can be between 3 and 8 treatments, although this will be discussed with you during your initial consultation.
After the Treatment
As soon as the treatment is completed you can go back to your normal daily routine, and even wear makeup. Some patients have some redness or swelling after wrinkle treatment, but this generally only lasts a few hours, or in rare cases, a couple of days. Dark pigments and freckles sometimes get darker following wrinkle treatment, and there might be some dryness and flaking of the skin. You should wear a sun block during the day in order to protect your skin following laser wrinkle treatment.
