Mr Miles G Berry BSc, MBBS, MS, FRCS, FRCS (Plast.)

Born in Windsor, Mr Berry trained at University College Hospital in London. He graduated in 1991 with Intercalated BSc (Pharmacology) MB BS.

Mr Berry has a keen interest in teaching with posts as an Anatomy Demonstrator and Lecturer in Surgery at St Bartholomew and the London Medical School between 1996 and 1998. During this time Mr Berry researched for a higher degree — Integrin Adhesion Molecules in Breast Cancer — where he gained a Patent and Master of Surgery in 2001.

Postgraduate Plastic Surgery training followed in London and Manchester leading to the FRCS (Plast) in 2005 and entry onto the Specialist Register for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2007.

Mr Berry undertook international fellowships in Sydney in 2006 and Paris in 2007, the latter leading to a Consultant post at the Institute Curie for nearly two years. Mr Berry developed a specialist interest in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery (the combination of aesthetic surgery techniques with breast cancer treatment to both improve results and reduce mastectomy rates), published several scientific articles and co-authored the book Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery for Breast Cancer.

Mr Berry trained in Aesthetic Surgery at the Institute for Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery in London in 2007, and has long held a particular interest in cosmetic surgery of the breast with publications including Breast augmentation: a review of the silicone prosthesis. Additional interests include facial rejuvenation surgery, co-authoring the article Platysma-SMAS Plication Facelift with Dai Davies, body-contouring surgery and liposuction.

Mr Berry regularly presents research findings at national and international conferences and travels to both the USA and Europe in search of techniques that give the best results to his patients. He is a trainee member of both the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
