SURGICARE SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH BMI HOSPITAL GROUP

Leading cosmetic surgery company SurgiCare has announced an agreement with BMI Healthcare, the UK’s largest private hospital group, which means SurgiCare’s patients will have national access to BMI’s top class private hospitals for surgical procedures.

Initially the focus will be on five of BMI’s 56 hospitals – London, Central Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield and Harrogate. It is the intention to add further hospitals as soon as practically possible, giving SurgiCare’s patients access to a much greater number of hospitals than any other cosmetic surgery company in the UK.

Speaking on the announcement, CEO of SurgiCare Mark Bury said: “This is excellent news and is a crucial move for us. It is our intention to use this agreement to create a leading position in the UK cosmetic surgery market. BMI’s hospitals are second to none, meaning we will be able to offer our patients even better facilities and locations, giving us much greater flexibility and opportunity to grow.

“We believe our patients’ experience, from first consultation right through to aftercare, is the best in the UK and now our patients will also be able to access the best private hospital facilities. It has always been our mission to achieve excellence through specialisation in cosmetic surgery and now we will have the facilities to support this.”

SurgiCare has shown phenomenal growth in the past few years, growing 50 per cent year on year for the past two years and expecting growth of around 30 per cent this year, despite the tough economic climate.

Mark Bury added: “This deal signifies the start of a new period of growth for us, as the access to an increased number of hospitals will enable us to grow our services for patients and perform more procedures to meet the demands of the fast growing UK marketplace.”

SurgiCare was established more than 16 years ago by a leading professor of surgery, now its medical director, who also chairs its in-house Medical Advisory Committee. SurgiCare surgeons are all registered on the General Medical Council Specialist Register, and ensure every patient receives the best possible standard in care and results.
