My Casanova Facelift

Take 5

Alison Mason a professional gardener from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire spent £5600 on plastic surgery so that he could go out on the pull again ................

Old man. That’s what I thought when I looked in the bathroom mirror. I had flabby cheeks sagging jowls and, worst of all, multiple chins.
It wasn’t fair. I looked at least a decade older than my mates and I was increasingly aware of it.

OK at 60 I wasn’t in the first flush of youth. But inside I still felt young and energetic. Very few people could out last me on the dance floor.
It was affecting my love life too.

I’d been a bit of a Casanova in my day and never found it hard to attract girls.

Even after I got divorced I could still pull, no problem. But in my 50’s, I hit a dry patch and I knew it was down to my looks.

I did what I could, dyeing my grey hair a medium-brown shade once a month and having regular sessions at home on the sun bed. But it wasn’t enough.

"There’s only one thing for it “I told myself “A faceliftI’d seen how good some female celebrities’ looked after they’d had work done. So I dint see why I shouldn’t give it a go. “You’re mad!” my mates told me

“You’re spending our inheritance “ my daughters joked.
To prepare for the operation, I got myself in shape.
I weighted 20 stone, which didn’t look obese on my 6ft frame, but over eight months I lost nearly five stone.

Being slimmer didn’t make my face look better though. With all that excess skin, it looked ten times worse. So in August last year, I had the seven hour operation at SurgiCare in Manchester – a full facelift which would also sort out my chins – for £5600.

My confidence soared, I felt much happier talking to women, and they were pleased to chat.

I’d flirt and ask them to guess my age. Some said 42 – nearly 30 years younger than I’d looked before the op. I even had a six month relationship with a 26 year old who I met in a club.

Now all my mates are jealous and tell me that I look really well.
I don’t imagine I’ll marry again though. For now, it’s the bachelor’s life for me.
