Mr Mark Bury - Chief Executive Officer.

Mark is the Chief Executive of SurgiCare. He has been responsible for developing SurgiCare from a varicose vein, hernia and cataract provider for the NHS, into one of the countries leading providers of cosmetic surgery, cosmetic treatments and weight loss surgery. His vision for the company is centred on providing excellence through specialisation and caring for the patient throughout. His duties include being the Responsible Individual, answerable to The Healthcare Commission

His career began at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where he enrolled as an army Scholar and Farnborough College of Further Education, achieving a HND in Business Studies.

In the early 1980’s, Mark founded Micro Solutions Group Plc, which became one of the leading suppliers of GP practice computer systems, software and training in the UK. He was also the Chairman of the CSSA Healthcare Group advising the Department of Health on all software development for the primary and secondary care sectors, to include bridging the gap between the two.

Prior to joining SurgiCare in 2002, Mark was the Managing Director of a leading brand building consultancy, The Gathering Plc, specialising in worldwide corporate brand building, with multi-national clients such as Kraft Foods, Tesco, Pillsbury, SMA, Mars and Mitel.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and has undertaken other business related training throughout his career.
