Specialist Plastic Surgeon

Mr Mark Solomos MD MRCS EBOPRAS is aspecialist Plastic Surgeon in Highgate Hospital (London). Having completed his basic surgical training in the NHS, in accordance with the guidelines set by the Intercollegiate Board if the Royal College of Surgeons, he was successful in the written and oral exams that granted him his membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow.

This allowed him to proceed with his Higher Specialty Training in the field of Plastic Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery, which took place in leading Teaching Hospitals in the UK. The training was extensive in all aspects of Plastic Surgery including cosmetic/aesthetic surgery, hand, burns, trauma and tumour surgery
and microsurgery He was successful in the Plastic Surgery oral and written Specialty exams in Athens (Greece) in accordance with the European and British Directives (Articles 24,25,26 and 28 Directive 93/16 EEC) and was granted the Title of medical Specialty in Plastic Surgery.

He is a member of the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery (Membership No 4599441), which certifies that he meets the requirements set by the General Medical Council and the
Royal College of Surgeons and is qualified to perform Cosmetic and Reconstructive procedures as a Consultant Surgeon.

He then left the NHS to have further training in Cosmetic Surgery in one of the leading Private Hospitals in London along with cosmetic surgeon Mr Alex Karidis. At the same time he was awarded the Fellowship of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, following rigorous exams that can be taken
only by qualified Plastic Surgeons and demonstrate the high quality of his theoretical and practical skills.

Throughout his career he has been invited as a speaker and has presented in numerous international medical conventions and has published his work in medical journals in the field of Plastic Surgery. Mr Solomos is now practicing privately, focusing on his chosen field of Cosmetic Surgery.
