Alisha Hussain, 31, a trainee beautician from Birmingham says: "I put on a lot of weight with my four children but while diet and exercise can sort out a lot of problems, nothing worked for my flabby upper arms. They looked gruesome - real bingo wings! i tried weight training, but nothing would tone them up. It made me feel really uncomfortable.
"I'd never wear dresses without a cardigan to cover them up. When i found out on the internet you could have cosmetic surgery on your arms (bracioplasty) it seemed like the perfect answer.

"I had the 3 1/2 hour op in February, and it cost £5000. The fat was sucked out through an incision in my arm, then the skin was tightened. I started in hospital overnight but all i needed was a pressure garment and bandages. I wasn't in much pain - and i took herbal arnica pills for two weeks before which reduced bruising.
"Now, my arms look really different - i lost 2in from each bingo wing. I do have a huge scar from my armpit to my elbow, but i cover that with make up and it'll soon fade."
Dr Egon Eder from Surgicare who performed the surgery, says: "This is an increasingly common procedure in younger women as obesity becomes more of a social issues - though in this case, Alisha wasn't obese. When you lose weight it's very difficult to shift the loose skin from upper arms - surgery is often the only option. The procedure itself is no more complicated than a tummy tuck, but you're left with a big scar that's far more difficult to hide than on your bikini line."< />
