Egon Eder M.D. Consultant Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Eder completed his medical study in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 1979. He trained in Plastic surgery at the University Clinical Centre of Ljubljana, which is one of first Centres for Microsurgery in Europe and has internationally reknown teaching staff for Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic Surgery and Burns.

Recognised worldwide for the biannually organised Plastic and Aesthetic surgical courses, with teaching experts from all over the world. Dr. Eder was actively involved in the teaching programmes for visiting fellows. He passed the national Slovenian board examination of General surgery with emphasis on Plastic surgery in 1988. As excellent surgeon and willing organiser, he was active in USA, Kuwait and other European countries.

In 1991 he joined the team of Prof.Olivari at Department of Plastic Surgery in Wesseling / Cologne in Germany as consultant Plastic surgeon. In 1995 he passed German national board examination of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery. After retirement of Prof. Olivari in 1997 he became head of the unit and remained successfully in this position until end of 2001. Currently he is a free lance Aesthetic surgeon with his own Private unit for Plastic and Aesthetic surgery in Cologne.

Mr Eder is an active member of the Association of German Plastic Surgeons, Association of German Aesthetic-Plastic Surgeons, German Society for Senology, German Society for Aesthetic Surgery, Croatian Society for Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery and International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery.

He is also fully registered medical practitioner with specialist registration at GMC in UK.
